“When enough people move together in a common pulse, an amazing force takes over- a power that can renew, inspire, teach, create and heal.” -Anna Halprin
When I first began training in Resonance Repatterning, back in 2000, one of the things I loved most was that the teacher regularly checked for what would best energise the group and support us to integrate all we were learning. Very often what we needed was to move. Our bodies are designed to move. When we nourish ourselves on all levels, our bodies, hearts and minds align with the fulfilment of our soul’s purpose and a deep joy can emerge. As we gently let go of resistance and open to let spirit flow freely through us, we have direct experience of our interconnection with all of life, with the elements within us and in Nature. We can plant the seeds of our individual and collective intentions, root them deeply in every cell, breathe life into them, water them with our fluidity and radiate our inner sunshine.
Through years of dancing and training to be a Movement Medicine teacher my relationship to my body has changed profoundly. I now see it as miraculous and I’m deeply appreciative of its intelligence, resilience and capacity for regeneration. I am offering these events so those of us who feel inspired to can give our bodies the gift of movement, of heart connection beyond words, of resting in the beat and letting ourselves be danced by life. I will include simple practices to support us to move into freedom. We can celebrate our uniqueness and bring our dreams into being. Together.
“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep yourself open and aware to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open.” -Martha Graham
